Going for the Guineas are the owners racing colours of the entrants in the two British Classic races, the 1000 and 2000 Guineas in 2013. It was painted during the Guineas Festival at the Newmarket Racecourse and includes the entries and winners of both races.
I aim to produce fun, brightly coloured, contemporary art designs, inspired by the horse racing colours in Newmarket, England. The originals are painted in acrylics, to give solid bold colours, with a sheen to emulate the racing silks. They are intended to have impact, to be visually exciting, whilst containing real information, for those who are interested.
