Newmarket Kite Symphony

Since the beginning of 2017 I have been working in collaboration with Market Place http://www.cppmarketplace.co.uk/whats-on/newmarket-kite-symphony-design-open-days/, The National Horse Racing Museum Newmarket https://www.palacehousenewmarket.co.uk/, Marcelo Sanchez and Zack De Santos Musician and Kite Expert maker and flyer, to deliver Newmarket Kite Symphony.

My role is to design and deliver workshops to local teams made up of people who would not generally engage with the arts. The workshops are to include an introduction to the design process with an inspirational visit to Newmarket's fabulous new Palace House Horse Racing Museum and experimenting with creative mediums. The participants will paint their designs on fabric to be displayed as large kites on frames and wobbly poles and paraded in Newmarket Carnival then exhibited in support of the Kite symphony display on Long Hill. Essentially, BIG, BRIGHT & BOLD artworks to convey their individual message.

I am really looking forward to meeting the team members, introducing them to some new skills and having fun!
